Does anyone else think that the Dragon Age team will canonically kill Hawke early in the game? Or even like kill Hawke off pre-game and have it mentioned later?
Because Varric leaning down and touching that corpse whose face is covered is really standing out to me?
And I’m the queen of tragic endings, my Hawkes are 99.9% bound to have awful fates, but having Hawke be dead in canon for DA3 would destroy my heart. Really. My feelings.
Hawke can’t actually swim (being from in a small town in central Ferelden) and it isn’t until many years after they become friends that Isabela finds out and is horrified. She insists that she teaches him/her off the Kirkwall docks and Hawke makes a hilariously outlandish scene at being forced to learn. He/she still complains about the taste of Kirkwall ocean water to this day. This is why Hawke can’t walk into any body of water in DA2.
