Sexism, Strength and Dominance: Masculinity in Disney Films (by sanjaynewton)
While I’m all for exploring both sides of the Disney sexism spectrum, I’m not sure the creator of this film chose the best examples and I have to agree with this comment:
I’d be willing, of course, to hear out any better arguments on the subject but as it stands I’m entirely unconvinced by this video.
I did question this a bit when I first saw it in my Human Sexuality class. Of course there’s some sexism in Disney, but these were not the best examples to showcase that.
